How to help us
How can my company help?
As the Corporate Sector is well aware, there are numerous benefits for companies, large and small, that work with a local charity. It can create goodwill with the local community and employees provide good PR opportunities - demonstrate leadership amongst peers - develop team spirit and the feel good factor - provide training and assessment opportunities - and very importantly provide good fun for the employees, friends and their families.
Some companies make a straight donation and others arrange events in aid of the charity; some participate in the Give As You Earn scheme; some enter the joint promotions and some simply enter teams for ELF events and raise the funds by direct sponsorship.
Most corporate supporters though develop employee fundraising within their company. This has tremendous benefits for both the company and employees in terms of teambuilding, training, morale and the general feel-good factor - not to mention showing the company as a whole as being fully involved in the local community.
Exeter Leukaemia Fund's celebrity patron, Noel Edmonds, launched the ELF Corporate Club in March 2000. The Club has already attracted some of the area's leading companies to join and has raised many thousands of pounds.
