Donated money is spent on new equipment, facilities to make treatment more comfortable for both patients and carers and research into methods of managing and monitoring leukaemia and related blood diseases carried out at the hospital.

A sparkling ice sensation!

Experience a sparkling sensation on ice as the award winning Holiday on Ice, the world’s most popular live entertainment of all time, returns to Westpoint Arena, Exeter from Tuesday 21st to Sunday 26th February 2006 with its dazzling new show Diamonds!
Diamonds will take audiences on a voyage to far away fantasy worlds where childhood tales and diamond memories create a sequence of spectacular stories full of action packed adventures in this fabulous new ice show for all ages!

Ice showA rich and exuberant performance is brought to each scene by 50 international skaters performing World and Olympic standard skating. Diamonds features daring stunts, spins and twists alongside breathtaking acrobatics on the ice and in the air. Watch as twin skaters become entwined high above the ice Åoor in a dramatic trapeze act and futuristic creatures speed through the air. Ruud Steenhuisen, Chief Executive of Holiday on Ice said, “As masters of the art of ice entertainment, Holiday on Ice know just how to combine award winning choreography and world class skating with innovative production techniques to create a dynamic ice show for all age groups to enjoy.

The music of Diamonds allows the audience to dream away reality from the energetic Charleston to the popular hits of Sting, Coolio, Pink Floyd, Robert Palmer, Shakira and Queen. The sets are bolder and the costumes more glamorous than ever before! From striking underwater creatures Åoating effortlessly in the serene calm of the deep ocean through to the hi-energy of the Roaring Twenties - the era of new music, dance, fashion and the Charleston, where the women are adorned in silk dresses and the men wear pinstripe suits and spats. Join the royal court of a medieval castle in a battle for sovereignty with a vibrant game of real life chess with brave knights, gallant steeds, majestic kings and queens and a eccentric court jester keeping the court amused! The spectacle of a the full size pirate ship on a voyage to discover the lost treasure leads the audience to the dramatic Änale in magniÄcent Holiday on Ice style with Åamboyant, vibrant costumes, starry lights and Äreworks!
