Donated money is spent on new equipment, facilities to make treatment more comfortable for both patients and carers and research into methods of managing and monitoring leukaemia and related blood diseases carried out at the hospital.

Three bus drivers raised £1,180 for ELF by parachuting from a plane over Dunkerswell Airfield. Andrew Bradford, Elaine Curl and Adrian Carter presented the money to ELF’s Chief Executive, Malcolm Roker at the RD&E Hospital on 28th July 2006. Stagecoach colleagues helped by sponsoring them.
A big thank you to Philip Crook and his daughter who raised £680 for ELF by running the London Marathon this year!
Pupils from Stoke Hill Junior School took part in the family fun run section of the Great West Run with their Headteacher. They raised £600 to buy a new chair for the ward.
An auction at the Ley Arms, Kenn raised £200, thank you to Ian Bruce and all who donated. Thank you to Mr Hortop for donations towards a Graseby Pump. The Graseby Pump can be used for intravenous blood transfusions and chemotherapy and are widely used on Yarty Ward.

Thank you to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Devonshire for the generous donation of £1000 which was presented to our Fundraising Officer, Peter Wallace on 30th June, it is very much appreciated.
Crediton Cubs for the generous donation of £83.50 raised from a recent sponsored silence.
Mr & Mrs Tucker were involved in the popular Location Location Channel 4 television programme which resulted in a donation of £200 to ELF.
Mrs M J Connell opened her gardens to the public and raised £320. Paula Dart, Wendy Jenkins & Paula Cole ran in the Reading 1⁄2 marathon and raised £350.50. Pinhoe Church of England School held a nonuniform day raising £75.00.

Ashley Edwards of Exeter Motor Club took part in a 3 day car rally raising over £350 for ELF in memory of Ron Mackie. He knew Ron Mackie through the Crashbox Club and when Ron was diagnosed he felt that this was a good way to raise funds.
