ELF Arctic Challenge Sweden 7th - 14th January 2007

Seven people have now signed up to the ELF Arctic Challenge, which will take place in Sweden in January next year. These brave participants are going to be raising £2,500 to participate on the trip, run by Nigel Startin who runs Intrepid Expeditions, an ex-marine and expert in arctic survival. Whilst on the trip they will learn how to survive outside in temperatures as extreme as - 25C. A shelter will be built and slept in for one night and they will also have the opportunity to spend a night in a “snow hole” dug out by themselves. It’s not all hard work however as they will also have a day with a husky dog team, play on a snowmobile and practice (or learn!) cross country skiing.
