In May 2006 the ELF shop relocated from the main concourse in the Hospital to the Conservatory at the rear of the Waterside Café. This move was required and funded by the Hospital who are moving to meet patient demands for alternative facilities in the concourse. The only and totally unacceptable alternative for ELF was to close the shop completely.
ELF has operated a shop at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital since 1988 when the premises previously occupied by the hairdressers became available in the old Hospital Building. ELF took it over having previously operated a trolley shop for patients. When the new hospital was built in 1991, provision was included for the ELF shop opposite the newsagents site. ELF refurbished the shop in 2002.
Do visit the shop. ELF has an excellent reputation for the quality of it’s Charity Shops. We sell good quality donated clothes, bric-a-brac and electrical goods together with a range of “end of line” items from labels ranging from Paul Costello to Per Una at hugely discounted prices.
Formula 1 commitments have meant a change of date for the ever popular evening with Steve Rider. This will now take place at Sandy Park - the Exeter Chiefs Rugby ground - on the evening of Thursday 25th January 2007 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £42.50 with a discount of 10% when a table of 10 is booked. Book your table now by calling the ELF office 01392 493344.
Thank you to Mr & Mrs Whawell who held
a Line Dance Party on their Ruby Wedding
Anniversary, everybody was very generous
and they raised £155 for ELF.
A new shop was opened at 1a Northcote Lane, Honiton on 10th March 2006 by Angela Browning, MP for Tiverton & Honiton. A superb boutique style shop has been fashioned from the original Bakers by Ian Woods of A J Woods & Son. Unfortunately staff sickness and other problems forced the closure of the shop in May. It will be re-opening in early September 2006. If you are in Honiton do visit the shop. As always ELF has an excellent reputation for the quality of goods at their Charity Shops.
