Flowers4giving is backed by the UK’s favourite postal flower company Flying Flowers.

Flying Flowers started in Jersey in 1981 and grew out of a service offered to holiday-makers who wanted to send a low-cost, high quality gift to friends and relatives at home. Today over a million bouquets a year are sent by Flying Flowers to addresses worldwide.

With 25 years experience Flying Flowers are experts in flower delivery. Each bouquet is made up of top quality blooms, selected by hand at exactly the right time and carefully packaged so that they last as long as possible after arriving at their destination. Every single bloom is checked before it goes out to ensure it meets the standards expected of Flying Flowers and their customers.

Leukaemia continues to grow in the South West. ELF supports the work of the Haematology Department at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and exists to ensure that the best treatment is available to leukaemia patients contributing almost £4 million to patient care, equipment and research since 1987 when the Charity registered with the Charities Commission. October 2007 will see the launch of 20 Years of ELF, a celebratory campaign designed to highlight the achievements over the last 20 years and what has still to be done into the future.

The Haematology Centre, for which ELF provided two thirds of the funding (£1.5 million), was officially opened by HRH, The Princess Royal in September 2003. It is recognised as “state of the art” and one of the best in Europe.

ELF needs to raise some £550,000 each year to maintain our support for sufferers, and to develop new services. “We can only do it with your help” said Malcolm Roker, Chief Executive of Exeter Leukaemia Fund. “Flowers4giving is another example of how we constantly strive at ELF to be different, because we believe that in seeking new ways to attract supporters, ways which meet everyday needs yet deliver a benefit for charity is a ‘win win’ situation – you pay no more for a service you need and ELF benefits”. “You can order flowers for Mother’s Day or any other occasion by visiting the new ELF website at www.exeterleukaemiafund.org.uk and clicking on the Flowers4giving button”.

Flowers4giving is available at anytime to send flowers to say thank you, welcome to your new home, Happy Birthday, Congratulations or just because you want to! And Flowers4giving can be accessed through the ELF website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
